"Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery... have damaged targets in the military-industrial complex and the transport infrastructure of Ukraine used in the interests of the Ukraine Armed Forces," the Russian defense ministry said.

The statement came just hours after Ukraine reportedly had suffered the largest strike since the conflict with Russia broke out more than three years ago, which killed at least two people, injured 15 and hit a government building in the capital Kiev.

US allies have called on President Donald Trump to increase sanctions on Russia for its continued attacks on Ukraine, but President Trump insisted on dialogue to end the conflict.

However, speaking to reporters on Sunday, the US President said he’s ready to move forward with the second phase of sanctions against Russia amid stalled peace talks. “Yeah, I am,” Trump told a reporter, who asked whether he’s ready to move forward with Phase 2 of the sanctions.
