Israeli officials hope to establish basic red lines and a mechanism for coordination should Iran escalate its nuclear activity, Kan News reported, but mentioned no further details on the talks between Russia and Israel.
Meanwhile, Syrian state media on Wednesday reported that statements on signing a peace deal with Israel “at this time are premature.”
“It’s not possible to talk of the possibility of talks on a new agreement unless Israel’s occupation force fully adheres to the 1974 disengagement agreement and withdraws from the areas it has penetrated,” said an unnamed official.
