(VOVWORLD) -Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian issued an order to enact a law to suspend cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in a move seen as a response to the recent 12-day conflict with Israel, Iranian state television said on Wednesday.

The law was approved by Iran’s parliament earlier. During the conflict that ended on June 24, Israel and the United States launched airstrikes against Iran's nuclear and military facilities.

Tehran said the IAEA had failed to respond appropriately to the US and Israel's military moves, including protecting Iran's nuclear facilities, a member of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

Iran's suspension of cooperation with the IAEA will take effect until specific conditions are met, including ensuring the safety of Iran's nuclear facilities and scientists. The IAEA has not commented on the information.
