Concluding the working session, General Secretary Lam said Vietnam is preparing for a special historical milestone: the 100th anniversary of the country under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam in 2030 and 40 years of implementing the Platform for National Construction during the transitional period to Socialism in 2031. This is not just an achievement of a certain period of time but represents the length of a revolutionary journey full of sacrifice, hardship, creativity, and development, he said, called for clarifying the development model, achievements, shortcomings, causes, and lessons learned.

“This work not only serves the purpose of commemoration but, more importantly, prepares the theoretical and practical basis for strategic decisions in the new development phase, towards 2045 and beyond, guiding the leadership of national development until 2130. Therefore, this must be a broad political activity, with the involvement of the entire political system.”

Considering 2026 as the starting year, the General Secretary requested that a scientific, modern, and effective working method be determined from the outset. “The two summary projects serve as a framework for the entire work. We need to review the scope, subjects, and methods of the summary; clarify the report structure; identify the major content axes; orient the approach from historical-logical; theoretical-practical; summary-forecast; and determine the final outputs,” he said, 

The Party leader urged members of the Editorial Team to further refine the core issues, which content needs to be emphasized, which issues need further research, and how to combine the 100-year and 40-year summaries in a logical, coherent manner with high continuity and consistency.
