(Vovworld) - The NA on Friday concluded the question for Government Cabinet members after a two-and-a-half Q&A session. The Deputy Prime Minister and 19 Ministers and Chiefs of sectors answered more than 160 voters’ questions on socio-economic issues. VOV reporter Ngoc Anh reports.

Deputy PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc said the country has overcome the most difficult period and begun to see positive changes in socio-economic development. He says “Inflation control and macro-economic stabilization are the sought after means major goals to boost the country’s sustainability. The Government has been consistent in its leadership and development trend. We are determined to attach less importance to growth and try not to be overrun by inflation. We have set the inflation rate to be between 7% and 8%, and growth rate of less than 6%.

Mr. Phúc said the Government’s economic restructuring master-plan must be aligned with other social issues. He elaborates “The economic restructuring master-plan will be implemented with a framework to minimize public controversy. According to the Party’s views, economic growth should be coupled with social development. To achieve this, it’s necessary to enhance cultural, education and training activities …

Deputy PM Phúc also gathered voters’ opinions and acknowledged shortcomings for losses, squandered funds in several state-owned corporations and groups. To resolve the issue, Phuc said the Government will work out a more efficient management program so that economic groups can refocus on national development. Regarding administrative procedures, the Deputy PM said that last year was the first time the Government tallied up administrative procedures of all sectors throughout the country and publicized them on the Government and provincial web portal. By implementing the Government’s 25 resolutions on administrative reform, Vietnam has simplified more than 3,000 formalities, 68 percent out of the total 4,800.  The Government will continue to speed up the reform this year. In terms of fighting against corruption and misuse, Mr. Phúc said the Government will handle violations severely.

Addressing the closing ceremony, NA Chairman Nguyễn Sinh Hùng says “Following this meeting, Q&A’s will continue. The NA’s Council for Ethnicity and other committees of the legislative body will continue to listen to reports and explanations by ministers and chiefs of sectors on issues still of concern to voters who would like to see an improvement in the quality and efficiency of NA and its agencies’ activities in carrying out the resolution of the 11th Party’s National  Congress.

Prior to answering questions, Deputy PM Nguyễn Xuân Phúc on behalf of the Prime Minister presented reports to supplement, and explain the issues that the NA had discussed and questioned to 4 Ministers./.
