During the meeting, Putin provided detailed updates on bilateral negotiations concerning Ukraine, noting that the Trump administration is making significant efforts to end the conflict. He did not rule out the possibility of reaching new agreements on strategic offensive arms control.
Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov confirmed Thursday that the summit agenda has been finalized. The meeting will begin with a one-on-one discussion between the two leaders, followed by a larger meeting with their delegations. Talks will continue over a working breakfast, and the summit will conclude with a joint press conference.
High on the agenda is resolving the Ukraine conflict, advancing Russia-US cooperation, particularly in trade and economic sectors, and ensuring international peace, security, and stability.
