(VOVworld) - A conference for Vietnamese women living abroad is underway in Hanoi to promote overseas Vietnamese women’s roles and potential in developing their communities abroad and their home country. Vietnamese women in Russia are attending the event to share their experience in improving the performance of women’s unions abroad.

Pham Thanh Xuan is in charge of the women and children department of the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Russia. She said:"Representatives from Russia are women outstanding in childrearing, family care, social activities, and activities of the local Vietnamese community. Some of them are involved in social activities not only in Russia but also in other countries."

Russia’s delegates will give presentations at 3 seminars: one on sharing experience in mobilizing Vietnamese women abroad; one on overseas Vietnamese women promoting their national identity; and one on Vietnamese businesswomen and intellectuals connectivity at home and abroad.
