The two sides agreed to maintain the exchange of delegations at all levels, especially high-level, and discuss ways to promote bilateral relations and global and regional issues of shared concern.
Prime Minister Chinh said that the relationship between Vietnam and the US has flourished in recent years, with a focus on economic and trade cooperation.
President Biden said he appreciates the results of a recent phone call with Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
Also at the expanded G7 Summit, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son had a meeting with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and both looked at measures to promote the implementation of agreements reached by the two countries' senior leaders.
