The Ministry of Planning and Investment is conferred with the Independence Order, 1st Class.

At a ceremony to mark its 75th anniversary, PM Phuc highlighted that throughout its history, the MPI has created a development vision for the country while reforming internally to complete its task of providing strategic consultation.

The sector has performed well in State management of strategy, planning, and socio-economic development planning, he said, adding that so far, 10-year and 5-year strategies on socio-economic development have been designed.

The Prime Minister stressed that amid the adverse impact of COVID-19, the MPI has built scenarios in economic management and offered solutions for economic recovery and growth, helping the Government roll out prompt decisions to achieve an economic growth of 2.91 percent  in 2020.

He asked the MPI to identify challenges for national development and adopt a longer vision than those of other ministries and sectors, to realize socio-economic development targets.
