He was particularly impressed by a bullet-riddled loudspeaker, which was once stationed at the 17th Parallel by Hien Luong bridge on the north bank of the Ben Hai river during the country’s division. The loudspeaker is a vivid symbol of the information struggle during wartime and the revolutionary media’s role in inspiring faith, determination, and national unity which are the key elements in Vietnam’s reunification.

At the “Sounds of History” section, the Prime Minister praised VOV for preserving priceless audio heritage, where visitors can hear 12 original historic recordings including President Ho Chi Minh reading the Declaration of Independence, the call for nationwide resistance, the Dien Bien Phu victory song, the April 30, 1975 liberation broadcast, and more.

VOV’s booth welcomes 2,000–3,000 visitors daily during the exhibition from August 28 to September 15.
