(VOVworld) – A ceremony was held on Saturday to transfer tuna fishing technology and equipment from Japan to Binh Dinh fishermen. This has been the first phase of a cooperative project between Binh Dinh province, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association in Sakai.

Representatives from Yamada company introduced the equipment’s advantages and tuna fishing, processing, and preservation processes.
President Truong Tan Sang and leaders from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development witnessed Binh Dinh authority handing over the equipment and capital for fishermen to upgrade preservation reservoirs, the signing of a MoU between Japan’s university Kagoshima and Binh Dinh province on maritime resources study.
