(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang received the President of Sakai city’s Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association Kato Hitoshi in Hanoi on Wednesday. He praised Mr. Kato’s efforts to promote friendship between Sakai and Japan with Vietnam. He also appreciated a cooperative program Kato has been involved in to support Vietnam in raising the effectiveness of ocean tuna catching in Binh Dinh province. Kato said Japan’s International Cooperation Agency was developing a special technical support program for Vietnamese fishermen and proposed a number of initiatives to boost economic, cultural, and training cooperation between the two countries.
