The event was attended by 103 heads of state, 46 prime ministers, senior leaders from UN member countries, and international and regional organizations.

President of the 80th UN General Assembly Annalena Baerbock said this was an opportunity for countries to reaffirm their commitment to the UN Charter — a fundamental document reflecting the aspirations, trust, and hope of humankind around the world for peace, development, and human rights. She called on member states to promote cooperation, support the UN reform to adapt to the new era, strictly fulfill their obligations under the UN Charter, and act in solidarity with concrete actions to address global issues such as poverty, conflict, and climate change. In his remarks, UN Secretary-General António Guterres urged all countries to uphold international law, respect the UN Charter, and work together for peace, justice, and progress for all.
