At the event, the first in a series of activities of the APEC Leaders’ Week 2025, President Luong Cuong told other APEC leaders about the three key goals that countries need to pursue, namely peace, prosperity and sustainable development. Prosperity for all countries can only be achieved on the basis of sincere cooperation, equality, mutual benefit and mutual respect, according to the Vietnamese President.

Sharing Vietnam's views on sustainable development, President Cuong emphasized the long-term vision, holistic and balanced approach, saying Vietnam is ready to cooperate with partners to implement programs and projects on energy, digital economy, circular economy, knowledge economy, and high-quality human resource training.

The President said Vietnam looks forward to welcoming all to APEC Leaders’ Week 2027 in Vietnam's Phu Quoc Island.
