President arrives in Republic of Korea for APEC Economic Leaders’ Week

(VOVWORLD) -President Luong Cuong and the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation arrived in Busan city, the Republic of Korea on Wednesday, to attend the 32nd Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Week and engage in bilateral activities at the invitation of Korean President Lee Jae Myung.

Welcoming the Vietnamese President and the delegation at the Gimhae Air Base were Choi Hyung Chan, President of the National Diplomatic Academy of the RoK, leaders of Busan city, Vietnamese Ambassador to the RoK Vu Ho, Vietnamese Consul General in Busan Doan Phuong Lan, and officials from the Vietnamese Embassy and Consulate General in the RoK.

President Luong Cuong and APEC leaders will discuss key regional and global cooperation and development issues, setting directions to promote trade, investment, connectivity, science and technology, green and digital transformation, and other vital areas.

The President will also hold bilateral meetings with leaders of APEC economies and executives of major global corporations. Notably, he will attend, engage in dialogue, and deliver a keynote address at the APEC CEO Summit 2025, which gathers nearly 2,000 business leaders from across the region. His remarks will deliver a strong message on Vietnam’s potential, competitive advantages, strategic decisions, and breakthrough initiatives.
