(VOVworld) – The Vietnamese Embassy in Russia on Monday paid a floral tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at a square named after him in Moscow to commemorate his 124^th birthday.

Participants reserved one minute of silence to show respect for the revered leader. Last Saturday in Saint-Petersburg, the Oriental Studies Faculty of Saint-Petersburg University collaborated with Ho Chi Minh Academy to mark the event. Addressing the function, representatives of the university and local authorities said that President Ho Chi Minh was the person who laid the foundation for the friendship between Vietnam and the former Soviet Union. Today’s young people should continue contributing to and expanding this friendship.
