At the ceremony, representatives of the sponsors and contractors of the projects, Major General Nguyen Huu Ngoc, Commander of the 12th Corps at Truong Son Construction Corporation said it was a race against time so that the projects are finished and handed over at the right time, on the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army.

This has demonstrated the responsibility and affection of the officers and soldiers towards the people and affirmed the spirit of the "Truong Son Army" in carrying out the tasks of the "working army", "production labor army" in the new era, Ngoc said.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highlighted six lessons learned. First, that’s the spirit of great national unity which serves as a "fulcrum to help us overcome difficulties and challenges we encounter." Second, the affection for people in trouble, "comradeship, compatriotism", is promoted more than ever. Third, it follows the Party's policy of not sacrificing social progress and justice to pursue merely economic growth and leaving no one behind. Fourth, words and actions match, ensuring that people have a place to live, settle down, children can go to school, people can enjoy electric light, and welfare projects. Fifth, it strengthens the people's trust in the Party and the State. Sixth, nothing is impossible, turning the impossible into possible with the spirit of "life arises from death."

The Prime Minister and delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the reconstruction projects of Lang Nu, Nam Tong and Kho Vang Residential Areas and handed over 150 houses to Lao Cai province to help it wipe out makeshift and dilapidated houses.
