The Prime Minister asked the Ministry of Finance to immediately allocate 5.7 million USD to Hue city and 3.8 million USD each to Quang Ngai and Quang Tri province for recovery efforts following the recent heavy rains.
Prime Minister Chinh said the flooding was exceptionally severe in the central region, with many areas recording record rainfall. The Government and the Prime Minister have been actively directing disaster prevention and response measures and closely following developments. The Prime Minister asked ministries, agencies, and localities to urgently report on preliminary damage.
"Party committees and local authorities must visit and provide support to affected residents, especially families with missing members and those in difficult circumstances, and immediately implement optimal support policies, including assistance with funeral arrangements and medical care for the injured. It’s necessary to continue evacuating residents from dangerous areas prone to landslides, flash floods, and inundation, and ensure sufficient food, water, and essential supplies for all affected communities," Prime Minister Chinh ordered.
The Prime Minister directed the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Science and Technology to instruct EVN, VNPT, and Viettel to rapidly restore electricity and telecommunications networks to ensure that people can get accurate information updates.
