During the session, the Prime Minister asked the provincial leaders to openly identify current obstacles, both subjective and objective, and draw lessons learned for more effective governance. He emphasized the need to maintain economic stability and growth and improve the material and spiritual well-being of the people while contributing to the national target of achieving a GDP growth rate of 8.3% to 8.5%.

Highlighting Quang Tri’s unique characteristics, the Prime Minister noted that while the province has long endured harsh conditions of intense sun and wind, these have now become valuable assets thanks to advances in renewable energy technology. He also pointed out Quang Tri’s strategic geographic advantage as the narrowest point of Vietnam, offering significant potential for international connectivity. The province is served by multiple modes of transportation, including an airport, seaport, railway, national highways, the Ho Chi Minh road, expressways, and inland waterways.

To fully leverage these advantages, the Prime Minister urged the provincial Party leadership to focus on planning and development strategies that mobilize resources for building strategic infrastructure in energy, transportation, healthcare, culture, society, and sports. He also encouraged investment in science, technology, and innovation. A key development model, he said, should be the creation of “4-in-1” urban zones integrating urban development, science and technology, services, and industry, thereby making full use of development space and connecting key economic corridors.

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 – July 27, 2025), the Prime Minister expressed his hope that Quang Tri would continue preserving and rehabilitating the local cemeteries of fallen soldiers to honor the sacrifices of national heroes and to meet the expectations of people visiting from across the country.
