The Prime Minister emphasized that Vietnam aims for GDP growth of 8.3–8.5% in 2025 and double-digit growth from 2026 to 2031, adding Vietnam is determined to achieve rapid and sustainable development based on science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.

Prime Minister Chinh expressed his wish for Samsung to be a trusted partner in Vietnam’s journey of economic and technological advancement. He called on Samsung to further expand investment in Vietnam, particularly in high technology and research and development (R&D); support the development of a technology ecosystem, especially in chip and electronics manufacturing; promote digital transformation, strengthen IT infrastructure, and train high-quality human resources; as well as increase localization rates and transfer technology to Vietnam.

CEO Roh Tae Moon affirmed Samsung Vietnam’s commitment to stand alongside the Vietnamese Government and make continuous contributions to Vietnam’s socio-economic development. Since 2015, Samsung has implemented various programs to support Vietnam’s auxiliary industries. Earlier this year, Samsung Vietnam, in coordination with the Group, established a taskforce to build a systematic supply chain sourcing process.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính presented a commemorative plaque marking the production of Samsung’s two billionth mobile phone in Vietnam.

By 2024, Samsung’s total investment in Vietnam had reached 23.2 billion USD

By the end of June 2025, Samsung’s mobile phone factories in Bac Ninh and Thai Nguyen had produced a combined total of two billion mobile phones, 16 years after production began in 2009.
