The establishment aims to build a comprehensive strategy for advancing Vietnam’s semiconductor industry.

The alliance brings together 15 founding members and is expected to become a strong bridge for boosting research, training, and workforce development in semiconductors and microelectronics.

According to Le Truong Duy, Director of the Fourth Industrial Revolution Center (C4IR) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam is entering a “golden period” to accelerate its transformation and foster growth in the semiconductor sector.

“The global semiconductor market is projected to hit 1 trillion USD by 2030. This is a huge figure, yet the world faces a shortage of at least one million engineers in this field,” said Duy, adding, “This global challenge presents a major opportunity for Vietnam. Leading tech corporations such as Samsung, Amkor, Nvidia, and Qualcomm have already chosen Vietnam as a strategic destination, while domestic enterprises like Viettel and CT Group are beginning to join the industry’s supply chain.”
