PM pledges continued favorable conditions for Samsung to invest, do business in Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) -The Vietnamese Government continues to support and create favorable conditions for Samsung Group to invest and do business sustainably, effectively and successfully in Vietnam, said Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.

Receiving Choi Joo Ho, outgoing General Director of Samsung Vietnam and his successor Na Ki Hong in Hanoi on Wednesday, Prime Minister Chinh asked Samsung to support Vietnam in improving the capacity of domestic enterprises to be able to participate more effectively in the Group's global production and supply chain. He urged for stronger cooperation to bring Vietnamese digital technology businesses into partners in Samsung's ecosystem.

The Prime Minister requested Samsung to coordinate closely with Vietnamese ministries, sectors, and agencies to practically and effectively deploy training centers located at the Vietnam National Innovation Center. He stressed the need to develop supporting industries, semiconductor chips, science and technology, innovation and digital transformation in Vietnam.

Mr. Choi and Mr. Na said that in addition to investing in traditional fields, Samsung will keep expanding investment in new fields such as artificial intelligence, semiconductor industry, and actively participate in the digital transformation process in Vietnam.
