(VOVworld) – The Phnom Penh Appeals Court refused this week to grant bail to Senator Hong Sok Hour of the opposition Cambodia National Rescue Party, due to security concerns.

Hong is being detained for publishing a fake border treaty between Cambodia and Vietnam, which “disrupts Cambodia’s national security.” He could face 17 years in prison if convicted.
