During a visit to Hanoi-based Friendship Hospital on Friday on the occasion of Vietnamese Physicians’ Day (February 27), he said each hospital must be a place where patients arrive with trust and leave with peace of mind. Every medical worker, he added, should serve as a pillar of support for patients in their most difficult moments.
“We must remain steadfast in the ultimate goal of achieving universal health coverage, ensuring that every citizen has timely, quality, and equitable access to healthcare services,” Party chief To Lam said. “No patient should be left without medical care. Geographic distance, economic conditions, or social circumstances must not become barriers to the fundamental right to healthcare.”
