Presenting his action program should he be elected to the 16th National Assembly, General Secretary To Lam pledged to fully perform the responsibilities of a National Assembly deputy, actively participate in deliberating and deciding key national issues within the National Assembly’s authority, and help ensure that policies are practical, aligned with public aspirations, strategically forward-looking, and highly feasible.
He also committed to working with the National Assembly to further improve the quality of legislation, supreme supervision, and decisions on critical national matters.

The Party leader said: “I will continue maintaining close ties with voters in the capital, remaining under their supervision, listening attentively and honestly to their legitimate concerns and aspirations, and promptly conveying these to the National Assembly and competent authorities for consideration and resolution."
"For voters in the central area of Hanoi, the nation’s political and administrative center and a major hub of economic growth, culture, science, technology, and innovation, I attach particular importance to absorbing their in-depth and thoughtful opinions. These contributions are vital to shaping strategic directions, refining institutions, and improving the quality of governance and development for the capital and the country as a whole. I’m always fully aware of the responsibility of a National Assembly deputy to remain accountable to voters, to provide comprehensive reports on the performance of assigned duties, and to preserve a close, trustworthy relationship between elected representatives and the people,” said Mr. Lam.

At the meeting, the General Secretary also responded to voters’ questions on issues such as environmental pollution, comprehensive education reform, and the implementation of a foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization and diversification aimed at safeguarding national interests while maintaining a peaceful and stable environment for development.
