Chaired by NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man who is also Chairman of the National Election Council, the conference connected 34 sites in provinces and centrally run cities throughout Vietnam.

34 province-level election committees have been established, along with 3,321 commune-level election committees, 182 NA election boards, 744 province-level People’s Council election boards, 22,541 commune-level People’s Council election boards, and 72,191 election teams.

Following the outcomes of the third consultative conference on February 14, Resolution 151 was issued, publicizing an official list of 864 candidates for the 16th National Assembly in 182 constituencies.

In her opening remarks, National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thanh said this is an occasion to affirm the Party's leadership capacity, the State's management effectiveness, and the operational efficiency of the political system, as Vietnam has just completed the streamlining and reorganization of the apparatus.

“The election is this year’s central political task. The current mission of the entire Party, people, and army is to make preparations that will ensure a successful election that is democratic, lawful, safe, economical, and a great event for people nationwide,” said Ms. Thanh.
