Party leader meets Hanoi voters ahead of National Assembly session

(VOVWORLD) - Party General Secretary To Lam on Tuesday met with voters in Hanoi to listen to their opinions, and briefed them on Vietnam’s socio-economic development and preparations for the 14th National Party Congress, ahead of the National Assembly’s year-end session.

He underlined that health is the most valuable asset of each person, the key foundation for people’s happiness, and vital to the nation’s survival and sustainable development. He emphasized that breakthrough health policies must prioritize prevention, shifting the focus from treatment to proactive healthcare.

“To this end, grassroots health services must be strengthened, ensuring that every commune and ward has doctors, medical stations, and adequate equipment for regular healthcare,” the Party leader said.

Mr. Lam also noted that documents of the National Party Congress are being finalized for approval at the upcoming October meeting of the Party Central Committee, after which they will be opened for further feedback from the National Assembly, voters, and the people.

He stressed that all 15 socio-economic targets set for the year are on track to be met.
