Welcoming the Vietnamese Party General Secretary, his spouse, and the delegation at Seongnam Air Base were Minister of Foreign Affairs Cho Hyun; RoK Ambassador to Vietnam Choi Young Sam and his spouse; the Commander of Seongnam Air Base; officials from the Vietnamese Embassy; and representatives of the Vietnamese community in the Republic of Korea.

Speaking to Korean media, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son said the Party General Secretary’s visit demonstrates Vietnam’s strong commitment to deepening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with the Republic of Korea with the desire for greater political trust, closer strategic coordination, more substantive and comprehensive cooperation, and stronger bonds of friendship between the peoples of the two countries.

This is also an important occasion for the top leaders of both countries to engage in comprehensive discussions on major measures, set priorities, and open new avenues of cooperation across various fields to advance the Vietnam–RoK relationship steadily and further in a new era of development.
