The visit comes as Vietnam–RoK relations are at their most positive period ever, especially since the two countries upgraded ties to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in December 2022.
Speaking to reporters about the significance of the visit, Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu said Vietnam and the RoK are each other’s top partners in many fields, including politics, security–defense, economy, trade, investment, tourism, labor, and people-to-people exchanges.
The visit will be an opportunity for both sides to engage in in-depth strategic discussions, set directions, and agree on measures to promote a more substantive, comprehensive, and effective relationship.
It will open new avenues of cooperation in important and promising fields, particularly in science, technology, and innovation, thus delivering tangible benefits to both peoples and contributing to peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the region and the world, said Mr. Vu.
