The title of Outstanding Intellectuals of the Medical Sector is given biennial to honor individuals and their profession and encourage them to contribute more to the medical sector.

Professor, Dr. Pham Nhat An, Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Pediatric Association, is honored at the event.

He said: “While the medical sector is one of the frontline forces in the fight against COVID-19, the award is meant to encourage the medical staff nationwide to work harder when caring for people’s health, particularly now in fighting COVID-19. Having worked in the healthcare sector, I know one must uphold medical ethics in the way President Ho Chi Minh said “doctors are like mothers”.
