Officials present gifts to the poor ahead of Lunar New Year festival

(VOVWORLD) - Permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong visited and presented Lunar New Year (Tet) gifts to poor workers in the northern province of Phu Tho on Sunday.

At a gathering held by South Korea-invested JNTC Vina Ltd Co, which manufactures tempered glass for mobile phones, Mr. Vuong expressed his hope that the company and its trade union will continue to take good care of workers’ lives.

The same day, Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh visited and presented gifts to poor households in 5 border communes of Vi Xuyen district and worked with officers and soldiers stationed in Thanh Thuy International Border Gate in Ha Giang province. Mr. Binh said the Party, State, and country fellows will continue to create favorable conditions for Ha Giang’s socio-economic development.

On Sunday, Vo Van Thuong, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Communications and Education offered incense, paying tribute to martyrs at Vi Xuyen National Cemetery in Ha Giang province. He visited and delivered gifts to policy beneficiaries, poor households, and victims of Agent Orange/dioxin in the district.
