Uriminzokkiri, the North's English-language propaganda website, posted an article that said ending the war is a historic task that cannot be delayed anymore.
Meari, another North Korean propaganda website, urged Seoul to do its part in working towards a declaration of the end of the Korean War. It noted that the inter-Korean summit agreement reached in April will lose its meaning if South Korea does not act.
At the April summit, South Korean President Moon Jae-in and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un agreed to end the 1950-53 Korean War this year, replacing the armistice that halted the hostilities with a treaty of permanent peace on the Korean Peninsula.
