North Korea warns of break of deal with US due to mistrust

(VOVWORLD) - North Korea's Foreign Minister on Saturday told the United Nations there was "no way" that his country would disarm first while the United States continued to push for tough enforcement of sanctions against Pyongyang.

North Korea is ready to implement the points that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, and US President Donald Trump agreed to in June during a summit in Singapore. The North, however, doesn't "see any corresponding response" from Washington. On the contrary, Ri said, the United States is increasing pressure and sanctions. Addressing the United Nations General Assembly, Mr Ri that without any trust in the US, there will be no confidence in North Korea national security and under such circumstances, there is no way North Korea will unilaterally disarm first.
