The Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said it detected the launch from the Sukchon area in South Pyongan Province between 7 a.m. and 7:11 a.m. It did not immediately provide details. North Korean authorities have not commented or confirmed the latest missile launch.
On Saturday, the Hwasong-15 missile was launched from Pyongyang International Airport. It reached a maximum altitude of 5,768.5 km, flew nearly 1,000 km before hitting a predetermined area in the East Sea of the Korean Peninsula.
