(VOVworld) – On Tuesday, US prosecutors charged Ahmad Khan Rahami, an Afghan-American, with carrying out the bombings in New York and New Jersey last week.

He faced 10 charges including using a weapon of mass destruction, bombing public places, and carrying out acts of violence.

According to investigators, the suspect planted bombs in New York city, Elizabeth city where he was living, and Seaside park in New Jersey. A device exploded at Manhattan in central New York, blaming 31 injuries.
