(VOVworld) – New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said on Sunday that there is no evidence the explosion in New York is linked to international terrorism.

The blast occurred on Saturday, injuring 29 people. But Andrew said the investigation has just begun and confirmed that they were still searching for those who were behind the attack and bring them to justice. The blast occurred around 8:30 p.m. at 23rd Street between 6th and 7th Avenues. Investigators believe the blast was caused by an explosive device in or near a dumpster. Another explosive device was found not far away from the explosion site. The device was identified as a pressure-cooker one  used in the Boston Marathon bombing in Massachussett in 2013.
