He noted positive development in socio economic growth, with lowest level of consumption price increase since early this year. He warned of more challenges ahead following Chinese illegal placement of an oil rig in Vietnam’s waters.
He urged ministries and provinces to support foreign investors’ operation with more favorable policies:“We need to promote economic restructuring and growth model change. Selective attraction of investment in high tech and environmentally friendly projects should be promoted while export markets should be diversified. By next year, Vietnam will have 16 free trade deals with 55 countries, opening up new space for exports and trade expansion. Vietnam upholds its trade and investment with China through multilateral trade agreements for mutual benefits.”
National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung wrapped up the Q and A session: “Five cabinet members have answered many questions during the session clearly and in details. Voters have agreed on and supported the Q and A session. The National Assembly praised efforts by the government and ministries as well as businesses and people in overcoming economic difficulties.”
