The  deputies will approve appointed Government officials, dismiss National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, President Nguyen Phu Trong, and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, and elect new individuals to fill these positions by secret ballot.

The new President, Prime Minister, and National Assembly Chairperson will be sworn in as soon as they are elected by the National Assembly.
