The plan presented by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at the opening of the National Assembly’s 4th session last month, clearly stated the goal of prioritizing macroeconomic stability, controlling inflation, promoting growth, ensuring major balances of the economy, improving the internal capacity, self-reliance, resilience and adaptability.
15 key indicators were set, including GDP growth of about 6.5%; consumer price index increase by 4.5%; the rate of poor households according to the multidimensional poverty line decrease by 1-1.5%.
Also on Thursday, the National Assembly voted to pass the Law on Implementation of Grassroots Democracy and discussed the draft Law on Cooperatives (amended) and the Law on Consumer Protection (amended).
