(VOVWORLD) -The National Assembly on Wednesday afternoon discussed the draft Civil Defense Law. Deputies stressed the need to prevent the danger of disaster or incident and to safeguard the country early and from afar.

Deputies emphasized that it is absolutely necessary to enforce Civil Defense Law in the current situation.

They said that a disaster caused by war often causes severe consequences for people, the country's economy and the environment, so it must be defined as a disaster or independent incident to take appropriate response and remedial action.

Earlier on Wednesday, with a majority of votes in favor, the National Assembly passed the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Radio Frequency.
