40 nations have ratified the UN Arms Trade Treaty so far.

(VOVworld) – 8 more nations have ratified the UN Arms Trade Treaty (UNATT) in a bid to control this multi-billion-USD industry. Since the Treaty was officially approved by the UN General Assembly in April, 2013, 40 nations have ratified this multi-lateral document. However, UNATT needs 10 more ratification to be realised. The world’s largest weapons producers, such as the US, Russia, and China have not yet ratified the treaty.
