People entering the city are still required to wear masks, disinfect hands, and avoid crowds. Drivers of transit trucks have to wear protective suits, masks, gloves, shoe covers, and face shields.

Mong Cai city has maintained a fleet of transit drivers who are approved by the Chinese side and have barcodes issued. The city will issue qualified transit driver cards for entering the border area.

The loosening of epidemic prevention measures will help businesses save custom clearance costs at Mong Cai-China’s Dongxing border gate and fall in line with China's policy of easing COVID-19 prevention and control.
