At the National Funeral Hall in Hanoi, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc delivered a eulogy, expressing the deepest condolences to the family of former Party chief. He reviewed the former General Secretary’s revolutionary career and military service, saying that he excelled in all missions and made significant contribution during his Party leadership.

“As the Party General Secretary, with his practical and diversified experience, comrade Le Kha Phieu always paid due attention to Party building and unification, leading the party and the people in their success in national renovation, construction and defense," said Prime Minister Phuc. He continued, "As the Party’s top leader, in all challenges, he upheld his exemplary pioneer in Party unity, linkage with the people, winning the respect from comrades, the people and international friends. He has been a bright example for people and comrades to follow.”

The Prime Minister pledged to join the whole Party, people and army to follow the revolutionary path chosen by the Party, President Ho Chi Minh and revolutionary predecessors in national development.

The same day, former General Secretary Le Kha Phieu’s burial service took place at the Mai Dich Cemetery in the capital city.
