The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Marxist India (CPI-M) emphasized the contributions of former Party General Secretary Le Kha Phieu to socialism building and expressed sympathy over the passing of an eminent leader of Vietnam. The memorial service for Mr. Le Kha Phieu at the Vietnamese Embassy in New Delhi will run until Saturday.
On Friday morning, the Vietnamese Embassy in the Republic of Korea held a solemn tribute-paying ceremony and opened a mourning book for former General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Le Kha Phieu. In the context of the COVID-19, the Vietnamese Embassy’s mourning book will be opened online on the weekend.
Representatives from foreign embassies in the Republic of Korea including Laos, Brunei, Brazil, Ethiopia, Paraguay, Sierra Leone, Bahrain, France, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Senegal, Argentina, Oman, and Kuwait wrote in the mourning book in remembrance of Mr. Le Kha Phieu.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Vietnamese Embassy in Moscow held an online memorial service for Mr. Phieu. Ambassador Ngo Duc Manh read a eulogy on behalf of the overseas Vietnamese communities in Russia. An online funeral book for Mr. Phieu has also been opened from Friday until Monday by the Embassy.
Also on Friday, Vietnamese representative offices and overseas Vietnamese community in Australia held a memorial service and opened the funeral book for Mr. Le Kha Phieu. Diplomatic corps of Singapore, Turkey and Kuwait based in Australia’s capital of Canberra came to the service to pay tribute to Mr. Phieu and wrote down condolences in the funeral book.
