Seven of those were imported cases from Mongolia.
Wuhan, the epicentre of the outbreak in China, reported five new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases, the most since March 11. Meanwhile, the number of asymptomatic infections fell to 12 on Sunday, compared with 20 reported a day earlier.
As of May 10, the number of infections in mainland China was nearly 83,000 with more than 4,600 deaths.
