In his congratulatory message, Russian President Vladimir Putin said he believes that as President, Vo Van Thuong will contribute to consolidating the Vietnam-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership, living up to the fundamental interests of the two nations and contributing to security and stability in the region.
Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea Kim Jong Un emphasized that Vo Van Thuong's election as President shows the high trust and confidence of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the entire Vietnamese people. He affirmed that the traditional friendship between the two parties and two states will continue to develop stronger and wished Vo Van Thuong major achievements in his new position full of responsibility.
In his congratulatory message, Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio said that this year, Vietnam and Japan will celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations. He expressed his belief that Vo Van Thuong assuming the position of President will help deepen the relationship between the two countries and said he is looking forward to working with the new president in the future to elevate the two countries' relations to a new height.
Italian President Sergio Mattarella praised the friendship and cooperation between the two countries in the context of the 50th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations. He said he believes that Italy and Vietnam will seize the opportunity to strengthen the strategic partnership and cooperation.
Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh sent a congratulatory message to President Vo Van Thuong.
