(VOVworld) - Cambodia’s ruling party CPP and its opposition CNRP met on Thursday, agreeing to continue their culture of dialogue and settle disputes in the spirit of national reconciliation and solidarity.

Deputy Prime Minister Sar Kheng of the Cambodia People’s Party (CPP) and Kem Sokha, standing president of the Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP), reached a consensus on fostering the democratic process and national reconciliation.
According to a joint statement following the meeting, the two sides will discuss a new trade union law and set up a joint committee to work out a dialogue mechanism called for in the joint statement issued on May 8.
They pledged to boost cooperation among their leaders and senators to enhance the effectiveness of the National Assembly.
