Participants consented to strengthen friendship exchanges,  economic co-operation,  connectivity, and collaboration in investment, culture-tourism, education-sport, and cross-border labor, among others.
With regard to building ties in economics, trade, and industrial parks, the localities reached a consensus on enhancing connectivity in terms of policy, smooth circulation of labor, goods, and capital, as well as the organization of trade promotion activities.

Additionally, they will work to bolster the export of high-quality farm produce and food while also developing cross-border e-commerce, with a particular focus on the formation of long-term linkage mechanism on customs clearance and measures as a way of further facilitating cross-border e-commerce. The localities also consented to take turns to hold sessions on Party building and governance work.

An art program to welcome in the New Year was held on the night of Sunday as part of efforts to further intensify cultural exchange, reinforce solidarity and friendship, and advance comprehensive and sustainable development of Lao Cai city and Hekou district.
