At a reception for Chinese Commerce Minister Wang Wentao in HCM city, Mr. Chinh praised the fruitful development of relations between the two Parties and countries and emphasized the need to continue concretizing the shared perceptions between Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and Chinese Party General Secretary and President Xi Jinping on the new developmental stage of the bilateral relationship.

PM Chinh proposed that both sides strengthen substantial cooperation in all areas, including economics and trade, and implement practical measures to expand bilateral trade in a more sustainable and balanced manner.

He also recommended enhancing coordination to improve the efficiency of customs services, promoting electronic customs at border gates; developing the border economy; piloting the construction of cross-border economic cooperation zones; boosting e-commerce; and resolving issues in some cooperation projects in the spirit of "harmonizing interests, sharing risks."

Minister Wang affirmed that Vietnam is one of China's important trade partners. The Chinese Ministry of Commerce will continue to closely coordinate with the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade and other Vietnamese ministries, sectors, and localities to effectively implement the shared perceptions and agreements of the top leaders of the two Parties and countries to deepen bilateral trade cooperation, he said.
