The Hanoi Labor Confederation on Wednesday visited and presented Tet gifts to employees of several businesses in the city.

Bac Giang province’s Labor Confederation plans to spend 150,000 USD to buy 7,200 gift sets for workers in difficult circumstances, victims of industrial accidents and diseases, and workers who can’t afford to return home for Tet, and another 11,000 USD to build 6 charity houses. A 3-day program will be held this weekend with Tet booths and free gifts for workers. 50 bus tickets have been given to workers so they can go home for Tet. Other workers have received free legal advice, health advice, or free haircuts.

The Labor Confederation of Lam Dong province held a “Tet gathering” program on Wednesday to deliver gifts to hundreds of disadvantaged workers and families in Di Linh district.

On Wednesday and Thursday a program called “The Trade Union Tet market 2023” was held at Tra Noc Industrial Park 1 in Can Tho city, with a 0-dong booth and 30 stalls of Tet goods on sale at a discount of 10 to 30%.

Huynh Thi Hien, Deputy Chairwoman of Can Tho city’s Labor Confederation, said, “As part of our Tet activities, we’ll visit boarding houses whose residents can’t return home for Tet and give them gifts. We’ll direct the grassroots trade unions to join the municipal Labor Confederation to prepare gift sets for employees.”
